Today I’d like to heighten your awareness of
God’s presence– ALWAYS!
Two Truths of Life
Wherever you go– you are!
Wherever you go– God is!
1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of
the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are
not your own;
Wherever I Go– Go is!!
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or
terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will
never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
The Lord himself goes before you and will be
with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do
not be discouraged."
Joshua 1:5 (NIV)
No one will be able to stand up against you all
the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I
will never leave you nor forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5-8 (NIV)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and
be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave
you; never will I forsake you." [6] So we say with confidence, "The Lord
is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" [7] Remember
your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of
their way of life and imitate their faith. [8] Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday and today and forever.
What if we lived as if God exists... What if we
lived as if He was always with us... What if we prayed as if God ALREADY
knew our needs, wants and desires... What if instead of taking time to
pray– our life became a prayer because we became aware of His presence
in EVERYTHING that we do!!
Leave room for Jesus
Become aware of His presence in every aspect of
your life– big or small.
The Practice of the Presence of God
Let us devote ourselves entirely to God; the
more we know Him the more we want to know Him; knowledge is commonly the
measure of love, the deeper and wider our knowledge, the greater will be
our love, and if our love of God is great, we will love Him equally in
sorrow and in joy.
He is always near you and with you; do not
leave Him alone. You may think it rude to leave a friend alone who came
to visit you. Why abandon God and leave Him alone? Then do not forget
Him! Think of Him often, adore Him continually, live and die with Him;
that is the glorious business of being a Christian; in a word it is our
calling; if we do not know that calling we must learn it.
I keep myself in His presence by simple
attentiveness and a loving gaze upon God which I can call the actual
presence of God or to put it more clearly, an habitual, silent and
secret conversation of the soul with God...
Since God is here– do we have to pray for Him
to be with us? NO– WHY– Because He is ALWAYS with us!
1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God.
Matthew 7:11 (NIV)
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to
give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in
heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Live as if God exists! Because He does!
Live as if God is always with you! Because He
is!!
Pray as if God already knows your needs!
Because He Does!!!
Let’s Leave room for Jesus!
Let’s become aware of Him in everything that we
do!
Let’s Practice the Presence of God!!
