Powerful Emotions
I putting my fears aside, I’m leaving my doubts behind, I’m giving my hopes and dreams to You, Jesus

Exodus 20:20 (NIV) Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."

Throughout the Bible we find this phrase, "Do not be afraid." God wasn’t trying to scare the people. He was showing his mighty power so the Israelites would know he was the true God and would therefore obey him. If they would do this, he would make his power available to them. God wants us to follow him out of love rather than fear. To overcome fear, we must think more about his love. 1 John 4:18 says, "Perfect love drives out fear."

John 20:27 (NIV) Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

In what areas of your life do you need to stop doubting and believe?
